As of 6-22-97 the DP Users Co-operative has:
109 members/customers in 14 countries, including 28 US states+Washington D.C., made a profit during the first Q of 1997, & may do so again during 2nd Q, published & sold out the first printing of "Mastering DataPerfect" by Ralph Alvy,478p, been named a Corel Solutions Partner, & pre-qualified as a Corel Users Group, already sold 15 copies of Corel's WP 6.2 Dos Suite at $99 in five countries, two sections on CIS forum WP USERS (public sect#11 & private sect#19), two sites on the WWW (listserv & web site) which get a wide range of visitors, If you know of other DP users &/or developers, please refer them to us.

Membership

Book Orders:
All book orders from prior to June have been filled or released. If you want one, order a signed copy at $50 ($45 members); or place your name on the waiting list for the second printing.

Dos Suite Orders:
We will have filled all of our backorders by early next week. If you want one at $99, order from us by June 30th please. Priority Mail $5 in USA or Global Priority Mail $6.95-8.95

If you don't have the latest update of DP done by Lew Bastian, please download from either the CIS or NET sites, you'll like it.

DP Mouse:
Steven Patamia's great program for using a mouse with DP has been upgraded again this spring, check sites for latest information.

The new DP book, "Mastering DataPerfect", is the new DataPerfect "Bible" written by Ralph Alvy (WPUSERS forum Sysop on Compuserve). It was written and copyrighted by Ralph, however, the entire distribution process was coordinated through the Co-op.

The Board of Directors have released the meeting minutes from the first meeting that took place via Cyperspace on October 14, 1996. The file is available for download here. Keep visiting the Web site for future updates on the Co-op.

James J. Trybalski has announced that as of 12/26/96 has begun collecting funds for the Co-op. Full Voting members ($100) and Associate members ($25) may make checks playable to "Greenshield" and mail them to: James J Trybalski, 1370 Hudson Ave, Rochester NY 14621-2595. Your support is greatly appreciated.

The Co-op continues to progress with several projects being completed in the background. Updates and news will be made available soon.

Geoff Worboys was asked to put together a draft of the By-Laws for the DP Coop. Please send any comments or ideas to Geoff as soon as possible.

Elections for the Co-op Board of Directors began on October 1, 1996. On October 4, elections were concluded and the following members were elected: Lew Bastian, Ralph Alvy, Brendan Mcgill, James J. Trybalski, Steven E. Patamia . The DP Co-op is now formed with 52 members.

James J. Trybalski wrote: "The co-op needs to first get our database of resources already available within our membership base put into a DP app & make it available to all paid members ASAP". If you have a DP application that you would like to be included in this database, please forward your request to James J. Trybalski, Director, Administrative Team.

The Research & Development team began collecting information from DP Users to be included in the set of tools they propose to make so that DPers can migrate their applications to as many platforms & programs as possible in the future.

The DP-Co-op grows to 40 members ( 33 Full Voting & 7 Associate).

The first list of members pledging monetary support was released. They are:
