The DataPerfect User's Discussion Group Web Site has won it's first award... The Black Stone Award. Recipients of the Black Stone Award are judged on two categories: Content and Web Site Design. In the award submission, the web site was entered in both categories. The web site's award was based on Content. The web site lacked consistency in some areas, and some dead links were found by the individual judging the site. Some suggestions were made to correct these design deficiencies and they were very much welcome.
As web sites are selected for these awards, the issuing authority displays either a banner for the site or a link to the site from their respective web pages. These links are an excellent source of free advertising thus affording us the opportunity for greater exposure on the Internet as well as attracting more visitors to the site. Since March 24, 1996, this web site has received over 1300 hits; or appoximately 700 hits per month. I will track the numbers closely in the next few weeks to see what effect this award has on the count.
