Borda Gardens
Address Opposite the Cathedral
Comment Designed in the 18th century by a wealthy miner, Jose de la Borda, the gardens were used by Maximilian and Carlota for splendid parties during their reign some 100 years later.


Cuernavaca Cathedral

Comment Construction started in 1533 under Cortés' supervision as a Franciscan monastery. Frescoes uncovered in 1950 depict scenes of missionary activity and the execution of San Felipe de Jesus - the only canonized mexican.


Palace of Cortés

Comment Built in 1530 by Cortés as his personal summer residence, the Palace now houses the Historical Museum of Cuernavaca.

Comment Foundation granted by Robert Brady houses his art collection which includes works by Frida Kahlo and other prominent Mexican artists. Also has an extensive mask collection from around the world. Open to the public Tuesday to Sunday - 10am-6pm. Reservations are required for tours in English or Spanish. Enjoy!

Comment A wonderful spot to experience one of nature's phenomenons. The cold water river that flows through the resort stems from an underground "born" onto the landscape at Las Estacas.
