| On the Jalisco-Colima border, Barra de Navidad is on the southern end of Tenacatita Bay. Its name - Spanish for Christmas - derives from the date when first discovered by the Spanish explorers. Built on a sandbar, Barra de Navidad is separated from the new resort at Isla de Navidad by a small local harbor. |
